Allocation of 8,000 Billion Tomans New Resources as Rural Facilities
More resources are to be paid to 4 corresponding bank for rural loans.
On the sideline of the Cabinet meeting, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare made a reference to the President’s statements and said: “The 5th phase of paying rural sustainable employment facilities started since 2 days ago and four corresponding banks of cooperative development, agriculture, post bank and Omid entrepreneurship fund were provided with about 8,000 billion Tomans new resources. Facilities are distributed to all applicants under rural sustainable employment loans; this is in addition to 12,000 billion Tomans facilities in the past that is 20,000 billion Tomans totally out of 1.5 billion USD from National Development Fund.”
Mohammad Shariatmadari said that so far, 135,000 enterprises have been established by such resources in villages and districts under 10,000 habitants and more than 25,000 diverse activities have been inaugurated by the President in the villages throughout the country.
He said that 220,000 new employment opportunities have been created from such resources. Apart from ecotourism that faced problems due to spread of Covid-19, other activities are well advancing and even some have started repayment of their loans with 800 billion Tomans returned facilities.
The above plan has increased rural employment from 3% to 29%. Another national initiative taken by the government is an increase in number of the insured people and pensioners from 654,000 to 1,280,000 persons through the social insurance fund of the villagers, farmers and nomads. It has to be noted that the government provided the above fund with about 1500 billion Tomans facilities as a contribution to the insurance premium of rural dweller
